Repository Settings
The Settings tab of a repository groups everything that configures it. The tab is shown to users with owner permission on the repository.

Settings Map
| Group | Item | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Repository | General | Name, description, website, ownership transfer and deletion |
| Repository | Branches | The default branch and branch protection rules |
| Repository | Tags | Tag protection rules |
| Access | Team Collaboration | The teams that can access the repository (organization repositories only) |
| Access | Deploy Keys | SSH keys that give one server access to this repository |
| Integration and Automation | Push Mirrors | Copies of this repository on other Git servers |
| Integration and Automation | Webhooks | HTTP requests to external services on repository events |
Branch protection, tag protection, push mirrors and webhooks are available on the Enterprise plan.
A repository synchronized with a third-party Git provider shows only General, plus Team Collaboration for organization repositories.
General
Basic Settings holds the Repository Name, Description and Website. Click the pencil icon next to a value to edit it. A name has up to 100 characters: letters, numbers, dashes, underscores and periods. Descriptions and websites have up to 255 characters.
Danger Zone holds two actions:
- Transfer Ownership: see Transfer Ownership
- Delete This Repository: click the button, enter the repository name, and click Confirm Deletion. This cannot be undone
Team Collaboration
For an organization repository, Team Collaboration lists the teams of the organization with their permission and repository access. Use the Enable Access switch to give a team access to this repository or take it away. A team with access to all organization repositories cannot be switched off here.

Teams are defined at the organization level. See Permissions.
